Measuring 2 inches (5 cm) in total length, the brass components of this size 1 spinner showcase the classic French craftsmanship that Andre Meulnart pioneered in 1938. This specimen, identified by product code 1356, weighs 1/8 oz (3.5 g) and features a wide brass blade stamped with 'Aglia-S' and various patent markings. On the reverse, the 'Made in France' stamp is clearly visible, though the lure was ultimately assembled in the USA. The wire frame holds a series of graduated brass beads leading to a ribbed body, followed by a treble hook distinguished by its original red plastic sleeve. Such a configuration is designed around a cone rotation system that allows the blade to spin freely against the water's resistance. The hardware is well-preserved, showing a condition rating of 4/5. It represents a foundational piece of angling history, commonly utilized by those targeting trout or panfish in various water conditions.
