Stamped clearly on the reverse side of the blade is 'MADE IN FRANCE,' marking the heritage of this 1/3 oz (9 g) inline spinner. The front side is finished in a high-visibility Fluorescent Orange, featuring the iconic black lettering that identifies it as a Mepps Aglia 4. Measuring 2 3/4 inches (7 cm) in total length, this specific specimen carries the product code 1914 and showcases the classic combination of French-made components assembled in the USA. Three graduated orange beads are positioned behind a machined brass body, providing the weight necessary for casting toward bank-side structure. A notable visual detail on this specimen is the orange sleeve on the treble hook, which coordinates with the blade and bead palette. The condition is 5/5, exhibiting a clean gold plating on the underside of the blade and bright, unblemished painted surfaces. The cone rotation system is a hallmark of Andre Meulnart’s original 1938 design, ensuring the blade rotates around the wire shaft during a steady retrieve.
