Museum Archive: Mepps Aglia Platinum 4, 1/3oz Red Metallic / Brass spinning lure #1921

Measuring 2 3/4" (7 cm) in total length, this size 4 spinner carries a vibrant red metallic finish on the outer blade face, backed by a classic brass underside. Stamped with product code 1921, the 1/3 oz (9 g) lure arrives in unused condition, retaining the sharp definition of its "Made in France" and "Aglia" blade engravings. Three metallic red beads are centered on the shaft, providing a visual flow toward the treble hook which is dressed with a solid red sleeve. While the precision components were manufactured in France, the final assembly of this piece took place in the USA, adhering to the standards established when the brand rose to prominence in the 1960s. The brass clevis is mounted to allow for smooth rotation around the wire frame when tension is applied.
