Silver plating covers the oval-shaped blade of this size 2 spinner, which bears a distinct 'Made in France' hallmark along with its British patent stamp. Weighing in at 3/16oz (4.5g), the lure features a weighted body composed of stacked, ribbed brass-colored beads that provide substance for casting. This particular Mepps Comet 2, product code 1846, measures 2 1/4" (6cm) and showcases components manufactured in France but assembled in the USA. The treble hook is dressed with natural yellow feathers, held firmly in place by a traditional red thread wrap at the eye. Showing honest signs of its age, the lure remains in 4/5 condition, with the silver finish on the blade displaying some light surface wear and a soft, non-reflective quality.
