Museum Archive: Mepps Syclops 1 UV, 2/5oz Pink / Brass fishing spoon #4757

Pink fluorescent paint is applied across the face of this Mepps Syclops 1 UV, providing a high-visibility surface that contrasts with the polished brass on the reverse. Identified by product code 4757, the spoon measures 2 1/4" (6 cm) and carries the "Made in France" stamp on its 2/5 oz (12 g) body. The face features ten black curved stripes and a prominent eye detail, while the back is clearly marked with the Mepps logo and model name. This lure is unused, having been separated from a Mepps Killer Kit, so the metal and finish remain in pristine state. A sturdy split ring connects the body to a sharp single hook, a configuration often preferred for its efficiency and reduced snagging. The S-contoured profile is a hallmark of the Syclops design, stamped directly into the brass.
