Gold scales transition into a solid black back on this vintage Norman Limited series crankbait, a color combination designed specifically for deep-water ledge fishing. Weighing 1 oz (28 g) and measuring 3 1/4" (8.25 cm), this specimen is a heavy-duty deep-diver. Since 1987, the DD22 has been a standard-setter for reaching depths between 10 to 18 ft (3.0 to 5.5 m) while casting, and can reach up to 21 ft (6.5 m) when utilized for trolling. This particular lure, carrying the product code DD22-NFBC, is presented in unused condition in its original 'Norman Limited' packaging. The back of the card notes that these limited editions were selected for their proven performance and unique color profiles that were often overlooked by newer production runs. The body is constructed from butyrate, which emits a distinct, low-frequency thud. Produced in the U.S.A. at the Greenwood, Arkansas facility, the lure features its original clear diving lip and factory-set hardware.
