Museum Archive: Panther Martin 4, 1/8oz Gold spinning lure #4356

Genuine gold plating adorns the convex/concave blade of this 1/8 oz (4 g) spinner, a hallmark of the classic Panther Martin design. Measuring approximately 1 3/4" (4.5 cm) in length, this specimen features a weighted black body decorated with distinct yellow dots. Identified by product code 4-PMR-G, the lure remains unused in its original yellow and blue carded packaging from Harrison Hoge Industries. The blade-on-shaft construction is central to this model, allowing the gold-plated metal to rotate directly on the wire without the need for a separate clevis. Assembled in the Dominican Republic using US and foreign parts, the packaging notes the design's ability to create sonic vibrations. A factory-original sharp treble hook is attached to the base of the weighted body.
