Weighing in at 1 1/4 oz (35 g), this substantial American trolling spoon reflects the heavy-duty design standards of the late 1940s. Its 4 3/4" (12 cm) gold-finished body is centered around a distinctive faceted red glass eye, a feature that has defined the Perfection Lake Trout since its introduction in 1949. Labeled with product code 2166, the lure maintains its original luster with light signs of age that give it a characterful 4/5 condition rating. The metal is stamped with the model name on the concave side, a hallmark of mid-century USA manufacturing. A large treble hook is attached to the tail via a sturdy split ring, while the tapered head features a single drilled attachment point. The red gemstone eye is securely fastened through the body with a traditional wire mount, designed to provide a flash of color even in the deeper, darker waters preferred by its namesake species.
