Museum Archive: Vintage Pflueger Last Word, 1/2oz nickel fishing spoon #24224

Sturdy nickel plating covers the 2 3/4" (7 cm) frame of this classic casting spoon. This Pflueger Last Word, identified by product code 24224, scales at exactly 1/2 oz (14 g). The stamped lettering on the concave side is sharp, clearly indicating its origin with "Made in USA" alongside the model name. Hardware includes a substantial treble hook attached via a sturdy metal ring at the tail, plus a dedicated line-tie loop at the nose. Presenting in 4/5 condition, the metal surfaces are clean and the overall structure remains solid. The body features a subtle fish-shape silhouette with a distinct widening near the midpoint and a tapered rear edge.
