Museum Archive: Vintage Rebel Floater F9, 1/4oz Blue / Black / Silver fishing lure #14893

A striking blue mackerel pattern marks the top of this slender 3 1/2" (9cm) plastic body. Weighing in at 1/4oz (6.5g), this Rebel Floater F9, product code 14893, comes from the renowned Plastics Research & Development Corp. facility in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Silver sides transition into a pale underside, paired with yellow eyes and a clear diving lip set for depths between 3ft (0.9 m) and 6ft (1.8 m). This specimen is unused, preserved in its original 1970s-era packaging which includes a graphic of the Rebel V-165 Fastback boat on the reverse. Two treble hooks are mounted to the underside of the blue-and-black frame.
