Museum Archive: Vintage Acme Side-Winder, 1/4oz fishing spoon #18401

Embossed fish scales across the gold-finished metal body distinguish this spoon as a classic Acme tackle staple. Weighing 1/4 oz (7 g) and measuring 2" (5 cm) in length, the curved profile of this piece is designed for casting and trolling. The "SIDE-WINDER" name is deeply stamped into the polished metal, positioned just above detailed gill plates and eye contours. Carrying product code 18401, the hardware consists of robust split rings and a sharp treble hook attached to the rear. This specimen is in excellent shape, holding a condition rating of 5/5 with its reflective surfaces showing no signs of visible wear. The reverse side of the spoon is finished in a smooth, high-polish gold that provides substantial flash under light.
