Museum Archive: Vintage Spoofer , 3 1/2oz Nickel fishing spoon #3748

Nickel plating covers the entire 5 1/4" (13.5cm) body of this substantial American-made jig. Tipping the scales at 3 1/2 oz (100g), this heavy piece was designed by Spoofer for vertical jigging techniques popular during its 1960s production era. The lower third of the lure features a distinct, multi-faceted pyramid texture stamped into the metal, while the upper section remains smooth and polished to maximize light reflection at depth. Just above the textured grip, the Spoofer manufacturer name is clearly stamped into the surface. This particular specimen, identified by Product Code 3748, is fitted with a large, dark-finished treble hook and heavy-duty split rings. The finish is well-maintained and bright, earning a 4/5 condition rating for this vintage metal lure.
