Museum Archive: Acme Tornado Spoon, 1/4oz Gold, Red / White fishing spoon #8251

UV-reactive white dots decorate the textured gold face of this 1 1/2" (4 cm) metal lure, a specialized detail found on this now-discontinued model. Identified by product code 8251, this Acme Tornado Spoon was manufactured in the USA and weighs 1/4 oz (7 g). The front surface is characterized by a repetitive, wave-like stamping that creates a scale effect, while the back is finished in a smooth gold with the model name clearly stamped. Alternating red and white dots are applied over the gold plating for added visual contrast. This specimen is unused and is fitted with a silver-colored treble hook secured to the tail by a split ring.
