Two distinct red spots stand out against the yellow finish of this metal spoon, a classic design from the 1960s. Weighing 1/4 oz (7 g) and measuring 2 1/4" (5.5 cm), this specimen from Chrome Products Co. is preserved in unused condition. The original card, marked with Catalog No. 980, traces its origins back to Tucson, Arizona. According to the manufacturer's advice, anglers were encouraged to fish this lure very slowly to target trout, bass, and crappie. The metal body features a clean "HOLT" stamp and is rigged with a sharp, silver-toned treble hook. The vintage packaging even displays the historical list price of $1.00 and the regional phone number, 887-4858, from the era of its production.
