Museum Archive: Vintage Acme Wonderlure, 1/4oz Hammered Nickel fishing spoon #15392

Featuring a distinct hammered nickel finish on its convex side, this spoon is a classic example of American-made tackle craftsmanship. Weighing 1/4oz (7g) and measuring 1 3/4" (4.5cm) in length, the Wonderlure (Product Code 15392) uses its dimpled surface to reflect light at various angles during casting or trolling. The reverse side remains smooth and polished, clearly displaying the "WONDERLURE" stamp characteristic of Acme’s production in the USA. This specimen is in 5/5 condition, maintaining a bright and clean metallic luster across both surfaces. A dark-toned treble hook is attached to the rear via a robust split ring, showing some minor oxidation consistent with its age. Two pre-drilled holes at the ends of the teardrop-shaped body provide secure attachment points for line and hardware.
