Yakima Bait

Yakima Bait Company is an American manufacturer  boasting one of the richest histories in the realm of trout and salmon fishing lures.

Founding: The company was founded in 1934 by R.B. Worden as the Worden's Floating Spinner Company.

It was renamed Yakima Bait Company in 1941.

The company actively expanded through the acquisition of key brands, solidifying its market position:

Hawg Boss lure in 1986

the Helin FlatFish Company in 1988

Schoff's Triple Teazer in 1993

Poe's in 1994

Hildebrandt lures in 2006

Lee Sisson in 2007

Yakima Bait's Core Legends:

Worden's Original Rooster Tail:

Since the 1950s and still today, it remains one of the most reliable and productive spinning lures for catching almost all species of fish.

Flatfish:

Although the Flatfish was originally designed by Charles Helin (Helin Tackle Co.), Yakima Bait acquired the brand and turned it into a global phenomenon. The Flatfish is a flat-bodied plug with a large lip, known for its extremely aggressive, high-amplitude wiggle that mimics a wounded fish. It is an absolute classic for catching lake trout and salmon.

Spin-N-Glo:

This lure is a unique Yakima Bait innovation. It is a buoyant, foam (or plastic) spinning device used not as a standalone lure, but as an attractor that gives bait or other lures buoyancy and rotation. It is an indispensable item for drift fishing for salmon and trout.
