Museum Archive: Vintage ​Storm Lightning Shad , 1/3oz Rainbow Blue fishing lure #13365

Rainbow Blue patterns on the scale-textured body transition from a deep blue spine into shimmering gold and silver flanks, punctuated by the oversized yellow eyes characteristic of early Storm production. Labeled with product code 13365, this 1/3 oz (9 g) floating lure was manufactured in the USA during the highly collectible pre-Rapala period. Its wide, clear diving lip is designed to take the 2" (5 cm) body down to depths between 6.5 ft and 11.8 ft (2-3.6 m). Two dark-finished treble hooks are original to the specimen, which remains in a superb 5/5 condition. Internal rattles provide an auditory element for targeting fish during casting or trolling. The underside of the bill features the distinct 'Storm Lightning Shad' stamp, confirming its vintage lineage.
