Barracuda — Saltwater Tackle and Spoons
Charles Clark established the Barracuda brand in 1923. From its inception, the company focused on tackle for saltwater environments. The development of specialized gear for marine conditions remained a constant in their production throughout the early twentieth century.
In 1932, Charles Clark sold the business to Jack and Carl Reynolds. Among the items in the company's range was the Reflecto. This metal spoon featured a reflective coating and was used for trolling and casting for marine predators.
Barracuda specialized in equipment designed for harsh coastal conditions. The manufacturer produced corrosion-resistant hooks and terminal tackle. These components were designed to withstand the chemical effects of saltwater environments.
