Bright yellow feathers provide a distinct contrast against the polished nickel finish of this American-made casting spoon. Deeply stamped into the 2 3/4" (7cm) metal body are the original 'Barracuda' and 'Reflecto Spoon' markings, denoting its heritage from the Florida Fishing Tackle Mfg. Co. in St. Petersburg. This 2/5oz (12g) specimen is unused, showing the original factory luster and an intact feather-dressed single hook. The vintage red and green packaging, identified by product code 18172, preserves the 'Famous Fish Getters' graphics once common in coastal tackle shops. A single hook is secured to the trailing end of the spoon via a fixed screw mount, characteristic of early Barracuda spoon construction.
