Museum Archive: Vintage Eppinger Dardevle Cop-E-Cat 7300, 1/3oz Fluorescent Yellow / Green fishing spoon #0416

Stamped clearly on the back of the spoon is the model designation 'COP-E-CAT 7300 U.S.A.' against a polished silver finish. This 1/3 oz (10 g) specimen, identified by product code 0416, features a vibrant Fluorescent Yellow front decorated with four distinct green diamonds. Measuring 2 1/4" (5.5 cm) in length, the metal body retains its classic concave profile, a technical design trait from the Eppinger company, which has been manufacturing these in Michigan since the early 1900s. The face includes the recognizable black devil head logo, characteristic of the Dardevle line. Hardware consists of a functional split ring paired with a clean treble hook. Showing very light wear from its time in a tackle box, the lure presents in 4/5 condition. The polished silver back provides a high-contrast flash against the bright yellow and green topcoat.
