Stamped with the iconic "COP-E-CAT 7300 DETROIT U.S.A." marking, this vintage spoon is a beautiful piece of Michigan tackle history. The hammered copper finish on this 1/3 oz (10 g) specimen shows a warm, aged character, earning a 4/5 condition rating. There are minor surface marks and light signs of use visible near the stamped lettering on the concave side, which only adds to its authentic charm. It features a traditional silver-toned split ring at the top for line attachment and a three-point treble hook secured by a split ring at the tail. Measuring 2 1/4" (5.5 cm) in length, the metal body retains the signature oblong shape and deep concave profile that Eppinger is known for. This specific product code 10055 reflects the era when Lou Eppinger’s company was still headquartered in Detroit, prior to their 1959 move to Dearborn. The hammered texture across the convex face is designed to catch and reflect light at various angles during a steady retrieve. Each dimple in the copper surface provides a different point of reflection for anglers casting in various light conditions.
