Museum Archive: Vintage Eppinger Dardevle Dardevlet, 3/4oz Red Devle fishing spoon #18982

Measuring exactly 2 3/4" (7 cm), this spoon carries the iconic black devil head logo on its central white stripe. The reverse side features a clear stamp identifying it as a "DARDEVLET" manufactured in "DETROIT U.S.A.", a specific marking that points to Eppinger's historic Michigan roots. At a weight of 3/4 oz (21 g), the metal body is substantial enough for long-distance casting when targeting pike, muskies, or large bass. This specimen is in 5/5 condition, showing remarkably well-preserved paint and original hardware. Identified by product code 18982, the lure is equipped with a large treble hook attached via a robust split ring. While it is a favorite for traditional casting, the Red Devle color scheme is also highly effective for trolling in various water clarities. High contrast between the red and white bands makes the profile visible even in deeper sections of the water column.
