Weighing in at a versatile 1/4oz (7g), this specimen is a classic example of American tackle history. Stamped clearly on the reverse side with the "DETROIT - U.S.A." mark, the lure reflects the early heritage of Lou Eppinger’s company before their 1959 move to Dearborn. The polished Nickel finish on this 1 1/2" (4cm) spoon remains remarkably bright and reflective, a choice often preferred for drawing attention in clear water conditions. This specific model, the Dardevle Devle Dog 5200, features a distinct oblong shape with a deep concave surface. A sturdy treble hook is secured to the wide end by a robust metal split ring, while a clean line-tie hole is positioned at the tapered lead. Identified by product code 10877, the metal surface is exceptionally well-preserved and clean, justifying a 5/5 condition rating. The stamp also includes the "DEVLE-DOG 5200" designation, which remains crisp and legible across the metal back.
