Adorned with the classic Five of Diamonds pattern, this enameled metal spoon carries a rich legacy originating in Detroit. Weighing in at 1/3 oz (10 g) and measuring 2" (5 cm) in length, this specimen is the Devle Dog 7600 model, identified by product code 5678. The yellow face features five distinct red diamonds and a slightly weathered fish logo, while the reverse side reveals a brass finish stamped with "DEVLE DOG 7600 DETROIT U.S.A." This specific marking indicates the lure was produced prior to the manufacturer's 1959 move to Dearborn. The hardware consists of a sturdy split ring attached to a steel treble hook. In its current condition, rated 4/5, the lure displays gentle signs of its age with small paint chips on the edges and light oxidation on the hook points. The brass backing retains a clean, bright finish with minimal surface wear. It serves as a well-preserved example of American tackle manufacturing history, intended for casting and trolling applications.
