Weighing exactly 2/5 oz (11 g), this spoon features a classic American design that has remained a tackle box staple since Lou Eppinger first crafted lures in his Detroit basement. The 2 1/4" (5.5 cm) body is finished in pattern 39 Mackerel (N), characterized by a vibrant green base with bold dark striping and a distinct red accent at the head. A standout feature of this specific Dardevle Imp is its luminescent coating; the green segments glow intensely in low-light environments, making it a specialized choice for deep-water presentations. Eppinger continues to manufacture these in the USA using proprietary dies that maintain the precise concave profile required for its signature wobbling motion. Identified by product code 16688, this specimen is unused and remains in its original factory packaging. A small reflective jewel is embedded near the center of the blade, adding a subtle point of light against the mackerel pattern. The reverse side of the spoon is finished in polished nickel to provide a high-flash contrast during a slow retrieve.
