Measuring 2 1/4" (5.5cm) in length, this classic casting spoon features the iconic "Red Devle" pattern of alternating red and off-white stripes. The reverse side of this Eppinger Dardevle Imp showcases a stamped copper finish with "DARDEVLE IMP U.S.A." clearly visible, marking its heritage as a Michigan-made tool. At 2/5oz (11g), it provides enough mass for accurate casting into the wind or reaching deeper pockets of water. This specific specimen, cataloged as product code 19163, retains its original treble hook secured by a split ring. The paint displays several small nicks and character-defining scuffs consistent with a 4/5 condition rating, while the copper back shows the honest wear of a well-traveled lure. Based on Eppinger tradition dating back to 1906, the copper-backed version of this spoon is particularly effective when fishing in cloudy or overcast conditions where a warmer flash is needed. The stamped lettering remains sharp, and the lead hole is clean and ready for rigging.
This specific lure has found its new home. However, we have selected some excellent alternatives for you below.
