Stamped clearly into the copper back, the 'DARDEVLE IMP USA' mark identifies this classic 5873 spoon as an authentic piece of Michigan fishing history. The signature red and white striped paint on the front face shows character with light chips along the rim, reflecting a 4/5 condition rating. Measuring 2 1/4" (5.5 cm) long, the metal body retains the iconic devil head logo on the upper white stripe. Weighing in at 2/5 oz (11 g), the thick copper base provides the necessary weight for casting or trolling setups. Original hardware includes split rings at both ends and a seasoned treble hook with a dark finish. Eppinger has been using these specific proprietary dies since Lou Eppinger started the company in Detroit back in 1906, decades before their 1959 move to Dearborn.
