Stamped clearly on the concave underside, the 2/5 oz (11 g) weight marking identifies this Eppinger Dardevle Imp as a versatile mid-sized casting spoon. Solid brass construction defines this 2 1/4" (5.5 cm) specimen, which carries the 'Dearborn MI' stamp, placing its production after the company's move from Detroit in 1959. The front convex surface has developed a warm, aged character with light spotting and minor surface oxidation visible. Cataloged under product code 5874, the lure remains in 4/5 condition, maintaining clean, deep embossing on the rear. The 'DARDEVLE IMP' branding is sharp and legible, centered on the curve of the brass. Original hardware includes a sturdy treble hook with a matte finish, secured by a heavy-duty split ring. A single, clean-cut hole at the narrow tip serves as the line attachment point, showing no signs of metal fatigue or stretching.
