Stamped clearly into the polished nickel reverse, the "DEARBORN MI." mark signifies this Eppinger classic was produced after the company moved from Detroit in 1959. Weighing in at 2/5 oz (11g), this specimen features the Lady bug UV pattern, characterized by a bright fluorescent orange face decorated with five distinct black dots and the iconic devil head logo. The body measures 2 1/4" (5.5cm) in length and maintains an excellent condition rating of 5/5, showing the original finish on both the painted and metallic surfaces. Attached at the tail via a sturdy split ring is a sharp, silver-finished treble hook, ready for casting. Eppinger's proprietary dies give the spoon its signature oblong shape and deep concave profile. Identified by product code 21689, the lure is a prime example of American-made craftsmanship. During wartime, the effectiveness of this design was so well-regarded that the government included Eppinger spoons in aviation survival kits. The back side remains bright and reflective, contrasting with the high-visibility orange top.
