Weighing in at a nimble 3/16 oz (6 g), this specimen represents the classic American craftsmanship found in Eppinger’s Michigan workshop. The 1 1/2" (3.5 cm) body is finished in the iconic Red Devle pattern, featuring a vibrant red finish split by a clean nickel-colored center stripe. This particular Dardevle Midget, identified by product code 17737, is unused and remains in its original retail carding. A polished nickel back reflects light well, paired with the concave, oblong construction that has been a staple of the Eppinger brand since its 1906 Detroit beginnings. It comes rigged with a standard treble hook, ready for casting or light trolling for trout and panfish. The carding also highlights the USA-based production, reflecting the same proprietary dies used in their Dearborn facility for decades.
