Measuring exactly 1 1/2" (3.5cm) in length, this small spoon is a classic piece of Michigan fishing history. The Eppinger Dardevle Midget Trout, cataloged under product code 2614, features the iconic red and white stripe pattern that has been a tackle box staple since Lou Eppinger started hand-making lures in Detroit back in 1906. This specimen is finished in a Red / White / Nickel color scheme, with the unmistakable devil head logo printed on the painted face. On the concave reverse, the nickel plating is bright and carries the authentic "DARDEVLE MIDGET U.S.A." embossed branding. Weighing in at 3/32oz (2.5g), it is intended for trolling or light spinning applications. The condition is rated at a 5/5, showing an exceptionally well-preserved finish and original hardware. Since the company moved to Dearborn in 1959, these spoons have relied on proprietary manufacturing dies to maintain their specific oblong shape. The hardware is comprised of a single treble hook attached with a split ring and a clean eyelet for the line tie.
