Museum Archive: Vintage Seneca Little Cleo (Hula Girl), 1/3oz Nickel / Orange fishing spoon #7758

Stamped into the vibrant orange finish of this classic spoon is the iconic 'Hula Girl' dancer, a hallmark of the original Seneca Lure company. This Seneca-produced specimen, identified by product code 7758, features a dual-tone Nickel / Orange color scheme. At 1 3/4" (4.5cm) in length and weighing 1/3oz (10g), the lure retains its original factory hardware, including the rear treble hook. The presence of the 'WIGL LURE' text and the detailed dancer graphic dates this piece to before the brand's acquisition by Acme in the early 1980s. Many veteran anglers still believe the silhouette of the dancer was the secret to the lure's historical success, and this example is preserved in 5/5 condition. The reverse side remains a clean, reflective nickel, providing a sharp contrast to the painted face.
