Weighing exactly 1/4 oz (7 g), this teardrop-shaped spinner is a testament to the early 1890s craftsmanship of Buffalo-based maker W.T. J. Lowe. The Lowe's Star Colorado Spinner 4 №5823 (1890S), identified by product code 23847, features a blade with a distinct split nickel and brass finish. This dual-tone metalwork is secured to a brass wire shaft with two integrated barrel swivels, intended for use in casting or trolling. The hook is dressed with a cluster of natural white and speckled brown feathers, a classic feature of the 'Star' line that remains remarkably intact. Measuring 3 1/4" (8 cm) in total length, the specimen shows very little sign of its age, earning a condition rating of 5/5. The wire-wrapped connections and hardware mounting reflect the artisanal production methods used before the turn of the 20th century.
