Stamped clearly on the inner curve of the metal body is patent number 2,719,378, a hallmark of the Luhr Jensen Super-Duper 501 design. At a weight of 3/32oz (2.3g) and a length of 1 1/4" (3cm), the U-shaped metal frame is tailored for light tackle casting. Prismatic holographic tape provides a multi-faceted shine against the polished chrome body, which is further detailed with a splash of red paint at the head. A factory-installed snap sits at the leading end, while the trailing side holds a treble hook attached via a split ring.
