Luhr Jensen
The Luhr Jensen company was founded in 1932 by Luhr Jensen an avid angler who created the first lure for himself in his home workshop in Hood River. In 1934, he began involving his sons in the production of lures. Years later, his business grew into an enterprise with 300 employees, which also included a business selling smoking equipment (smoking devices). The business passed to his son, Phil Jensen (Phil Jensen), and in 2006 he sold it to the Rapala company. Unfortunately, Rapala did not retain all of the company's lures.
