Adorning the classic French blade of this size 1 spinner is a vibrant rainbow trout pattern, blending soft pinks and blues with characteristic black stippling. Originally part of a Mepps Killer Kit, this specimen, identified by product code 3906, is unused (condition 6) and retains its original factory luster. The weighted brass body features distinctive red-filled grooves, providing a visual contrast against the gold-toned hardware. Weighing approximately 1/8 oz (3.5 g), the lure utilizes the signature Aglia cone rotation system, allowing the blade to rotate around a central wire shaft via a sturdy brass clevis. A bright red plastic sleeve covers the shank of the bronze treble hook, a feature designed to provide a specific focal point during the retrieve. The blade is clearly stamped with "Mepps AGLIA-1," a design lineage that traces back to Andre Meulnart’s 1938 invention. Every component, from the top wire loop to the brass beads, reflects the construction standards Mepps established when Todd Sheldon first began importing these from France in the 1960s.
