Stamped deeply into the brass blade are several international patent markings, including British and French registrations alongside the U.S. pending status, signaling its early production era. Weighing in at 1/2 oz (13 g), this Mepps Aglia 5 is a substantial spinner designed for larger predators. The 3 1/4" (8 cm) profile features a classic French-style blade that rotates on a wire shaft, anchored by a series of distinctively painted yellow and orange beads. These beads show some honest character marks from years in a tackle box, yet remain vibrant. On the reverse side of the blade, the "MADE IN FRANCE" stamp confirms its heritage from the original factory. The treble hook is equipped with a piece of red tubing, a simple but effective visual trigger that was common for this vintage. This specimen maintains a 4/5 condition rating, showing well-preserved metal surfaces and solid hardware integrity. A small brass clevis allows the blade to swing freely around the central wire, which is finished with a standard eyelet at the top for line attachment.
