Stamped with 'BRITISH FRENCH PAT' across its brass blade, this Mepps Aglia 3 highlights the international heritage of a design first conceived by Andre Meulnart in 1938. Assembled in the USA using components manufactured in France, this specimen weighs 1/4 oz (7 g) and measures 2 1/4" (6 cm) in total length. The wide brass-finished blade is engineered with a cone rotation system that allows it to spin smoothly around the wire shaft at various retrieval speeds. A classic red plastic sleeve covers the shank of the treble hook, providing a focused strike point for predators like bass, pike, or large trout. Listed under product code 1153, the lure is in 4/5 condition, showing well-preserved markings and clear lettering on the blade face. The body construction utilizes a series of stacked brass beads to provide the necessary weight for casting while maintaining the balance required for the blade's rotation.
