Brass tones define this size 3 spinner, a staple for chasing bass, pike, and large trout. Weighing 1/4 oz (7g) and reaching a total length of 2 1/4" (6cm), this Mepps Aglia (Product Code 1343) features a blade stamped with "BRITISH FRENCH PAT." on the front and "MADE IN FRANCE" on the reverse. The central brass body is detailed with five red-painted rings, providing a distinct visual contrast against the metal. A red plastic tube is fitted over the shank of the treble hook, a design choice meant to provide a clear strike point. This specimen is rated a 4/5, showing a clean finish across its brass components and terminal hardware. The cone rotation system is designed to allow the blade to spin as soon as it meets resistance during the retrieve, a technical refinement that has characterized the Aglia since Andre Meulnart first developed the design in 1938.
