Stamped directly onto the concave side of the teardrop-shaped blade is the "MADE IN FRANCE" identifier, signifying the European origin of the components before assembly. Measuring 2 3/4" (7cm) and weighing 1/4oz (7g), the gold finish on this Mepps Aglia 3 (1960s) has maintained its original luster. The blade’s obverse side is rich with embossed history, including the "BRITISH FRENCH PATENT" and "U.S. PEND" markings that date this piece to the pivotal era when the brand gained massive traction in North America under Todd Sheldon's distribution. A series of red-painted grooves on the brass body provide a sharp visual contrast, paired with a matching red sleeve over the treble hook. Bearing product code 19593, the lure retains its structural integrity with a straight wire form and a 5/5 condition rating. The simple yet effective clevis mounting allows the blade to circle the central shaft, a design choice by Andre Meulnart that has remained a standard since 1938.
