Stamped clearly on the gold-plated blade of this 1/4oz (7.3g) spinner is the classic "Mepps Aglia 3" marking, indicating its French-made origins before assembly in the USA. The brass body is detailed with six recessed grooves filled with bright red paint, a visual accent that provides a sharp contrast against the metallic hardware. This specific specimen, cataloged under product code 8084, measures 2 1/4" (6cm) in length and features a hand-tied dressing. The dressing consists of natural squirrel hair in variegated tan and dark brown tones, secured to the treble hook with a clean, saturated red thread wrap. Andre Meulnart’s 1938 French engineering is visible in the wide blade geometry and the smooth-spinning clevis that allows the lure to function at various retrieve speeds. In terms of condition, the lure is in excellent 5/5 state, with the gold finish on the blade remaining highly reflective and the hair dressing full and well-preserved. The wire shaft is perfectly straight, ending in a clean loop for easy rigging when targeting bass, pike, or large trout.
