Dual-toned in nickel and a deep metallic blue, the 1 3/4" (4.5cm) body of this Hofschneider classic features the signature faceted glass eyes that give the 'Red Eye' its name. Stamped clearly on the reverse are the markings 'SPINNING-LITE' and 'ROCHESTER N.Y.', identifying its 1/4oz (6.5g) weight class intended for lighter tackle applications. The nickel finish occupies one longitudinal half of the spoon's face, contrasted by a blue lacquer on the other, creating a distinct visual break. Secured by internal wire loops, the two red glass beads serve as focal points for predators during a steady retrieve. This specific specimen, bearing product code 5658, is preserved in 5/5 condition with the reflective surfaces and original treble hook remaining well-maintained. The Hofschneider Corp. specifically designed this spoon shape for slower presentations, often preferred when targeting pike in warmer water.
