Museum Archive: Vintage Yakima Bait Spin-N-Glo, 1/4oz spinning lure #22671

A soft peach hue highlights the foam body of this classic Yakima Bait Spin-N-Glo, a design that has remained a staple for river anglers for generations. Measuring 4" (10 cm) and weighing in at 1/4 oz (8 g), this specific specimen (Product Code 22671) features the characteristic winged construction intended to provide lift and buoyancy when used in current or behind a diver. The lure is rigged on a wire-through frame, bookended by a pair of orange attractor beads that contrast with the creamy body finish. A black barrel swivel is twisted onto the leading eye, while the business end carries a clean, silver-finished treble hook. Manufactured in the USA, this piece shows light signs of previous use, earning a solid 4/5 condition rating. The paint transitions smoothly from a pale cream on the wings to a warmer peachy tone across the central float. This buoyancy-driven attractant is a testament to the simple, effective engineering used for targeting steelhead and salmon.
