Hammered gold surfaces catch the light beautifully on this 2 1/4" (6 cm) vintage find. Carrying product code 11355, this 2/5oz (12 g) Weedless Marathon spoon features a distinctive design intended for fishing in heavy cover. Two mobile sonic blades are attached at the rear, creating flash and vibration while helping to obscure the hook assembly. A classic wire guard is integrated to protect the hook, making it suitable for casting into weed beds and lily pads. The reverse side clearly displays the stamped origin of the Wisconsin-based Marathon Bait Company, which produced American tackle from 1929 through 1979. This specimen remains in 5/5 condition, with the gold finish and hardware appearing extremely well-maintained and clean. The textured face is designed to maximize light reflection from various angles, reflecting the solid craftsmanship of mid-century manufacturing.
