Polished nickel plating provides a bright, reflective flash on this 1 oz (28 g) spoon, making it a heavy-duty option for casting into wind or reaching deeper columns. Measuring 3 1/2" (9 cm) in length, the oblong metal body carries a distinct "DARDEVLE DETROIT U.S.A." stamp on the inner concave side, referencing the Eppinger brand's historical production site before their move to Dearborn in 1959. This specimen, identified by product code 20789, is in 4/5 condition with a clear, mirror-like finish across its surface. The rigging includes a strong treble hook attached via a split ring at the rear, with an additional split ring at the front for secure line connection. Its design follows the proprietary dies used by Eppinger to achieve the specific weight distribution and shape that has defined the brand since 1906.
