Stamped deeply into the nickel-plated backside, the “BASS ROK'T-DEVLE” and “DETROIT U.S.A.” markings firmly place this spoon’s origin in the Michigan factory before the brand's mid-century move to Dearborn. Weighing 3/4oz (21g) and measuring 2 1/4" (5.5cm), the metal body features a high-contrast diagonal paint scheme of black and white. The iconic devil head logo remains sharp on the silver portion of the face, representing the legacy started by Lou Eppinger in 1906. A few small chips in the paint are visible along the edges, but the overall presentation is clean and well-preserved, rating a 4/5 for condition. This specimen, assigned product code 13197, is rigged with a sturdy split ring and a silver-toned treble hook. The construction reflects the high-quality dies used by Eppinger to ensure the specific shape required for casting or trolling.
