Stamped into the copper reverse side of this lure are the clear markings identifying it as a Detroit-made Eppinger original. This specimen, a Dardevle Dardevlet with product code 17219, measures 2 3/4" (7 cm) and weighs 2/3 oz (19 g). The front face features the traditional Red Devle pattern, a white diagonal stripe set against a red background that has earned its place in tackle boxes for decades. Mounted with a sturdy treble hook via a split ring, the hardware shows the durability expected from a USA-manufactured casting spoon. The copper back has a warm, darkened tone from age, contrasting with the painted surface.
