Stamped into the warm copper reverse, the markings "ROK'T-DEVLE IMP U.S.A." identify this classic casting spoon as a true piece of Eppinger history. The front face features a striking vertical split of black and white paint, crisp and well-defined, complemented by the iconic devil head logo. Measuring 2 1/4" (5.5 cm) and weighing in at 3/4 oz (21 g), this specimen carries enough heft for long casts into deep water. The hardware is just as reliable as the body, featuring a silver-colored treble hook attached via a robust split ring at the tail. This particular lure, cataloged under product code 15401, showcases the Detroit-born craftsmanship that eventually saw these spoons included in wartime aviation survival kits. Both the painted surfaces and the copper plating have been maintained in excellent shape, earning this specimen a condition rating of 5/5. The copper backing provides a distinct contrast to the monochromatic face, intended for visibility in various water clarities.
