Stamped clearly on the nickel-finished reverse, the "SEADEVLET" and "DETROIT - U.S.A." markings confirm this specimen’s origins from the legendary Eppinger factory. This vintage spoon features the classic red and white striped pattern on its face, complete with the iconic devil face logo centered in the white band. Measuring 4" (10 cm) and weighing in at 1 1/3 oz (40 g), it carries the significant heft required for substantial casting distance. The painted surface shows honest character with small chips and wear along the edges, earning a solid 4/5 condition rating that highlights its history on the water. Built with proprietary dies, the signature concave shape is designed to produce a specific wobbling action during retrieval. The lure is equipped with a sturdy treble hook secured by a heavy-duty split ring, ready for the tackle box or the display board. Lou Eppinger moved production from Detroit to Dearborn in 1959, dating the "Detroit" stamp on this piece, product code 3675, to an earlier era of the company's century-long history.
