Museum Archive: Vintage Heddon Baby Torpedo, 1/3oz fishing lure #4483

A classic shad-inspired pattern with intricate scale detailing covers the 2 1/4" (6cm) frame of this specimen. A single rear propeller is positioned at the tail, intended to create a surface disturbance when pulled through the water. Tipping the scales at 1/3oz (9g), the lure retains a sharp "Baby Torpedo" script and "Heddon" stamp on its flanks. The silver and dark-backed finish is complemented by gold-toned eyes and gill detailing, characteristic of this product code 4483. This particular lure is rated in 5/5 condition, with the hardware remaining bright and the painted features well-defined. Two treble hooks are attached—one at the belly and one trailing behind the propeller hardware.
